Hadja, who belongs to the Bozo tribe, lives with her eight children in Mopti, Mali. The Bozo tribe lives primarily from fishing in the river Niger.
As a necessary addition to her income Hadja makes these colourfull bracelets out of old flip flops, the daily shoes of most of the population.
